MY SENATE
PLATFORM
I come from a proud family that has been involved with public service for many generations. I have experience watching my father work with local government, and I have also learned by working with our local NAACP chapter and volunteering for the African American Community Service Agency in San Jose.
I want to work with my classmates, and FOR my classmates, to make our school an even better place to learn.
I am advocating to:
- maintain a fun and engaging learning environment for all students
- create an accepting environment free of bullies
- ensure we have delicious and healthy lunch options
- create a volunteer-led after-school program to learn the basics of foreign languages, trades (such as building, sewing, or cooking) or other STEM activities such as computer coding, robotics, or even art and music!
LIST OF ISSUES
Education
As your senator, I will advocate for a FUN and ENGAGING learning environment that incorporates technology and non-traditional approaches to learning. I would like us to be well-prepared for high school and college!
Food
As the son of a local physician and Food Network Baking finalist, it is important to me that our lunches are both nutritious AND delicious. I would like to make sure that we have access to great options while at school
Diversity
We are all different and that's what makes us each cool.
Learning about what makes us different is an essential step to being accepting and inclusive of everyone.
I would like to make sure that we learn about different cultures and an inclusive history of the US as part of our regular curriculum.
Environment
I care about our campus and our environment at large.
I would like to organize a fundraiser to plant more trees, grass, flowers, and maybe even a vegetable garden on our campus.
